The Learning Collaborative in Wagga Wagga allowed school leaders and teachers to showcase their improvement work. Glenn McMahon, Principal, demonstrates how a focus on Writing allowed teachers at St. Mary’s to develop and enhance their Writing practices using the Collaborative Assessment of Student Work (CASW). Teachers developed Writing Exemplars for their CASW process, reflected on changing practice and on giving students precise feedback. The awesome results: a reduction in the number of students below expectation and an increased number of students above expectation.
